The most entertaining event held in conjunction with the 50th Merdeka anniversary
Malaysia Central - Sightings http://www.mycen.com.my/sightings 11 September 2007 What A Blast! Grand Finale with VIPs joining the contingents on the field. Over three nights, military bands and teams from 13 countries put up a grand show at the Merdeka Stadium. The KL International Tattoo is by far the most entertaining event held in conjunction with the 50th Merdeka anniversary. A big salute also to the crowd who cheered wildly for every single team. Not a common sight with our usually partisan and reserved spectators.It was also refreshing to see a show organised with precision, starting and ending on schedule. More pics ....
Kuala Lumpur International Tattoo 2007 - Overwhelming response
9 September, Merdeka Stadium. Kuala Lumpur International Tattoo 2007 opened for the last night to the thunderous applause of thousands of fans who had flooded the stadium since early evening so as not to miss the opportunity of watching this maiden show involving 12 foreign nations. The heavy downpour in the early evening did not deter the spirit of the spectators who came in droves to watch this unique show personally. More than 20, 000 tickets for each night priced at RM 5 and RM 10 were sold out. But this did not stop those without tickets from crowding around the ticket booths knowing that the tickets were sold out. This overwhelming response could be used as a yard stick by the organizers in sponsoring future Tattoo shows.
