MPTC have conducted 11 UN Military Observers courses and a few Pre Deployment courses. More than 300 commissioned officers have graduated from this centre. Among those are military officers from foreign countries namely Canada, Indonesia, Japan, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam. There are also participants from the Royal Malaysian Police. Majority of these graduates have been selected to serve with at least one United Nations field mission.
The Centre have conducted two courses involving Malaysian and foreign military officers and a number of them have already served in various UN missions. Most of them were appointed as UN Military logistics officer either within their own contingent or on attachment to various UN logistics appointments. In order to make courses more realistic and effective, the courses’ syllabus has been revised and re-arranged to meet the demands of peacekeeping in the new millennium.
